Menopause is the cessation of menstruation in females, occurring usually between the age of 45 and 50. It is the time in a woman’s life when the ovaries cease to produce eggs every four weeks and therefore the woman is no longer able to bear children. Menstruation may decrease gradually in successive periods or there may be a sudden stoppage of the monthly periods. At time of the menopause there is a change in the balance of sex hormones in the body, which sometimes leads to hot flushes, palpitations and dryness of the vagina. Some women also experience emotional disturbances and even develop depression. To treat this, the hormonal imbalance must be corrected and this can be done through supplements or hormone replacement therapy. Products: Menopause and Premenstrual Syndrome relief agents
