Cancer is a cellular tumor the natural course of which is fatal. Cancer cells, unlike benign tumor cells, exhibit the properties of invasion and metastasis and are highly anaplastic. It arises from the uncontrolled and abnormal division of cells that invade and destroy the surrounding tissues. Spreading of cancer cells, or metastasis, occurs via the blood stream or the lymphatic channels. There are many causative factors, including genetic predisposal. Treatment of cancer depends on the type of the tumor, its size and the extent of the spread. Cancers are divided into two broad categories of carcinoma and sarcoma. Carcinoma is a cancer that arises in epithelium, the tissue that lines the skin and internal organs of the body. Sarcoma is any cancer of the connective tissue. Products: Anti-cancer drugs

Taken orally, Avemar can inhibit metastatic tumor dissemination and proliferation during and after chemotherapy, surgery, or radiation. Benefits of Avemar treatment have been shown in various human cancers, in cultures of in vitro grown cancer cells, in the prevention of chemical carcinogenesis, and also in some autoimmune conditions.
