Accupril-Accupro
Accupril-Accupro (generic name: quinapril) belongs in a class of drugs called angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) inhibitors. ACE inhibitors are used for treating high blood pressure and heart failure and for preventing kidney failure due to hypertension and diabetes.

Acomplia
Acomplia is chemically synthesized anti obesity drug discovered and manufactured by French pharmaceutical company Sanofi-Aventis. The drug active ingredient is rimonabant, which is a also called a cannabinoid-1 receptor antagonist. It is used to aid weight loss in people who are obese or overweight. Clinical trials showed a significant weigh loss (up to 10 per cent of the body mass) in those who have Body Mass Index more than 27kg/m˛. The effect of the drug is achieved by its partially shutting down the overactive cannabinoid system and thus reducing the desire for fat and unhealthy food. By reducing the body mass, Acomplia drug positively influence cardiovascular system by reducing blood cholesterol level and thus reducing the risk of heart diseases. The drug shows promising positive effect on those with diabetes II type. Also in some studies Acomplia drug showed additional benefits for those who try to quite smoking. It not only helps to resist the desire to smoke but also prevent those who quitted from gaining weigh as they often substitute nicotine with food. Acomplia is licensed within the European Union, but has yet to be approved by the FDA in the USA.

Oral acyclovir is used to treat initial genital herpes infections and to treat patients with recurrent (6 episodes per year) severe genital herpes.

Adalat
Nifedipine (brand name Adalat) belongs to a class of medications called calcium channel blockers. By relaxing coronary arteries, nifedipine is useful in treating and preventing chest pain (angina) resulting from coronary artery spasm.

Adamantan
Amantadine is a synthetic (man-made) anti-viral drug that can inhibit the replication of viruses in cells. To prevent a viral infection, the drug should be present before exposure to the virus. Clearly, this is not practical for most viral infections. It was initially used to prevent influenza A during flu season, and, if given within 24 to 48 hours of the onset of flu symptoms, to decrease the severity of the flu. Later amantadine was found to cause improvement in the symptoms of Parkinson's disease. Amantadine's mechanism of action in Parkinson's disease is not fully understood. Its effects may be related to its ability to augment (amplify) the effects of dopamine, a neurotransmitter in the brain, that is reduced in Parkinson's disease. Amantadine is less effective than levodopa in Parkinson's disease but can offer additional benefit when taken with levodopa. Amantadine was approved by the FDA in 1966.

Amantadine
Amantadine (a-MAN-ta-deen) is an antiviral. It is used to prevent or treat certain influenza (flu) infections (type A). It may be given alone or along with flu shots. Amantadine will not work for colds, other types of flu, or other virus infections.

Amantadine also is an antidyskinetic. It is used to treat Parkinson's disease, sometimes called paralysis agitans or shaking palsy. It may be given alone or with other medicines for Parkinson's disease. By improving muscle control and reducing stiffness, this medicine allows more normal movements of the body as the disease symptoms are reduced. Amantadine is also used to treat stiffness and shaking caused by certain medicines used to treat nervous, mental, and emotional conditions.

Amaryl
Amaryl (generic name: glimepiride) is an oral blood sugar-lowering drug in a class of medicines for controlling diabetes called sulfonylureas. Glimepiride is related to other sulfonylureas including glyburide (Micronase; Diabeta), glipizide (Glucotrol), tolbutamide (Orinase) and tolazamide (Tolinase).

Glimepiride is used in type II diabetes, the most common type of diabetes that is found in 90% of patients with diabetes. In type II diabetes, insulin usually is not necessary to control the blood sugar. Instead, diet and oral medications often are sufficient. Intolerance to sugar that results in elevated blood sugar is caused by reduced insulin secretion by the pancreas and resistance to insulin's effects by the body's cells. Glimepiride lowers the sugar level in the blood by stimulating insulin to be secreted from the pancreas into the blood. Insulin causes sugar to leave the blood and enter cells throughout the body.

Glimepiride was approved by the FDA in December of 1995.

Aminoguanidine
Aminoguanidine is a medicine capable to slow down the aging processes. It is commonly considered that age-related changes in the body are caused by so called cross-linking (or glycosylation) of protein. Aminoguanidine is able to protect body-making-up proteins such as skin (collagen and elastin), eye lens, nerve and kidney proteins from linking by mixing itself up with substances that cause links and thus stops the aging of the body among which are senile cataracts, thickening of the arteries, some cancers, age-related toughening and yellowing of the skin and damage to the immune system. The results of such Aminoguanidine effect mean that it may be able to protect from or at least slow down the progression of those age-related conditions. It is also test-proven that Aminoguanidine has the capability of reducing the ability of very low density lipoprotein so called “bad cholesterol” to stick to blood vessel walls as the result blood platelets are less likely to coagulate and form dangerous atherosclerotic plaques. The medicine also shows the ability to prevent age-related heart enlargement and irregular glucose metabolism which causes diabetes to develop with age.

Amitriptyline
Amitriptyline is in a class of drugs called tricyclic antidepressants. Amitriptyline affects chemicals in the brain that may become unbalanced and cause depression. Amitriptyline is used to relieve symptoms of depression such as feelings of sadness, worthlessness, or guilt; loss of interest in daily activities; changes in appetite; tiredness; sleeping too much; insomnia; and thoughts of death or suicide. Amitriptyline is also sometimes used to treat certain types of pain.

Arava
Arava (generic name: leflunomide) is an oral, disease-modifying drug that is used in the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis. Leflunomide reduces inflammation in the joints that is responsible for both the symptoms of rheumatoid arthritis and the destruction of joints. This reduces symptoms as well as the progressive deformities of the joints caused by the arthritis. Leflunomide reduces inflammation by suppressing the activity of immune cells responsible for the inflammation. Leflunomide suppresses immune cells by inhibiting dihydroorotate dehydrogenase, an enzyme that is necessary for the production of DNA and RNA. Without DNA and RNA the immune cells (and most other types of cells) cannot multiply or function (or exist). Because of its unique and different mechanism of action, leflunomide is of value when added to other medications used for treating rheumatoid arthritis. Leflunomide was approved by the FDA in September, 1998.

Aredia
This medicine is a bone loss inhibitor used to treat high calcium levels or softening of the bone caused by certain cancers. It may also be used to treat Paget's disease and other conditions as determined by your doctor.

Aricept
Aricept (generic name: donepezil) is an oral medication used to treat Alzheimer's disease. It belongs to a class of drugs called cholinesterase inhibitors that also includes tacrine (Cognex). Scientists believe that Alzheimer's disease may result from a deficiency in chemicals (neurotransmitters) used by nerves in the brain to communicate with one another. Donepezil inhibits acetylcholinesterase, an enzyme responsible for the destruction of one neurotransmitter, acetylcholine. This leads to increased concentrations of acetylcholine in the brain, and the increased concentrations are believed to be responsible for the improvement seen during treatment with donepezil. Donepezil improves the symptoms but does not slow down the progression of Alzheimer's disease. Donepezil was approved by the FDA in 1996.

Arimidex
Arimidex
Arimidex is a type of hormonal therapy used in the treatment of breast cancer in women who have had their menopause (change of life).

Augmentin
Augmentin is used in the treatment of lower respiratory, middle ear, sinus, skin, and urinary tract infections that are caused by certain specific bacteria. These bacteria produce a chemical enzyme called beta lactamase that makes some infections particularly difficult to treat.

Avandia
Avandia (generic name: rosiglitazone) is a drug that reduces the amount of glucose (sugar) in the blood. It is in a class of anti-diabetic drugs called "thiazolidinediones" that are used in the treatment of type II diabetes. The other member in this class is pioglitazone (Actos). Another member of this class, troglitazone or Rezulin, was removed from the market because of liver toxicity. Rosiglitazone often is referred to as an "insulin sensitizer" because it attaches to the insulin receptors on cells throughout the body and causes the cells to become more sensitive (more responsive) to insulin. As a result, more glucose is removed from the blood. At least some insulin must be produced by the pancreas in order for rosiglitazone to function. Rosiglitazone was approved by the FDA on May 28, 1999.

Avapro
Avapro is used to treat high blood pressure. A member of the new family of drugs called angiotensin II receptor antagonists, it works by preventing the hormone angiotensin II from narrowing the blood vessels, an action that tends to raise blood pressure. Avapro may be prescribed alone or with other blood pressure medications. In people with type 2 diabetes and high blood pressure, Avapro is also prescribed to stave off damage to the kidneys, often delaying the need for dialysis and a kidney transplant.

It was first synthesized in 1959 at the French National Scientific Research Center since then it has been widely used in Europe and the USA. Centrophenoxine consists of two biochemical elements: dimethylaminoethanol and parachlorophenoxyacetate. The first one is naturally metabolized in human body and can be found in natural food, for example in fish. It is responsible for the increase of acetylcholine levels in CNS (Central Nervous System) which leads to memory and general cognition improvements and neuronal glucose (which is the chief brain fuel) and oxygen uptake enhancing, while carbon dioxide production increasing. The second one is a synthetic compound similar to auxins (plant hormones) that increase RNA and protein production thus by reverses the age-related drop in neural RNA and protein production in human body it helps to encode memory, as well as repair cell damage. The drug proved to be effective not only as a prevention measure when taken by healthy young people but also as a treatment for those who already suffer from brain disorders. The conjunction of the two elements represented as Centrophenoxine has pronounced anti-aging, brain energizing, repairing effects and general brain activity activating effects. The drug helps to reduce lipofuscin levels. Lipofuscin is a biochemical clutter accumulated during lifetime and associated with poor cell health. As a rule it is used to treat Alzheimer disease and the symptoms of senile dementia as well as a number of other brain-related disorders. The positive Centrophenoxine effects are proved by clinical and laboratory tests.

Cipro (Ciprobay)
Many common infections in humans are caused by single cell organisms, called bacteria. Bacteria can grow and multiply, infecting different parts of the body. Medicines that control and eradicate these bacteria are called antibiotics. Ciprobay (generic name: ciprofloxacin) is an antibiotic that stops multiplication of bacteria by inhibiting the reproduction and repair of their genetic material (DNA).
Ciprofloxacin is used to treat infections of the skin, lungs, airways, bones, and joints caused by susceptible bacteria. Ciprofloxacin is also frequently used to treat urinary infections caused by bacteria such as E. coli. Ciprofloxacin is effective in treating infectious diarrheas caused by E. coli, campylobacter jejuni, and shigella bacteria.

As an antioxidant, it helps prevent the accumulation of free radical damage which can lead to degenerative disease. Our ability to produce CoEnzyme Q10 decreases as we age. This safe and non-toxic product has been consumed by millions of people worldwide for over 20 years.

Coverex
Coverex is an ACE inhibitor. Angiotensin II is a very potent chemical that causes the muscles surrounding blood vessels to contract and thereby narrows the blood vessels. The narrowing of the vessels increases the pressure within the vessels and can cause high blood pressure (hypertension). Angiotensin II is formed from angiotensin I in the blood by the enzyme, angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE). ACE inhibitors are medications that slow (inhibit) the activity of the enzyme, which decreases the production of angiotensin II. As a result, the blood vessels enlarge or dilate, and the blood pressure is reduced. This lower blood pressure makes it easier for the heart to pump blood and can improve the function of a failing heart. In addition, the progression of kidney disease due to high blood pressure or diabetes is slowed.

Cozaar
Cozaar is used in the treatment of high blood pressure. It is effective when used alone or with other high blood pressure medications, such as diuretics that help the body get rid of water. Cozaar is also used to slow the progress of kidney disease caused by type 2 diabetes (the type of diabetes that doesn't require insulin shots).

Effexor XR is also prescribed to relieve abnormal anxiety (generalized anxiety disorder).

Ellagic Acid
Published research on ellagic acid appeared in the early 1970s. First true studies began in early 1990. However, folklore remedies involving phytochemical extracts fhave been around for centuries.

Evista
Estrogen is a hormone which among other actions, regulates the turnover (formation and destruction) of bone. Decreases in estrogen levels that are seen after menopause or after removal of the ovaries, lead to a loss of bone density and weakened bones, a condition called osteoporosis. Raloxifene decreases bone turnover and increases bone density although not to the same extent as estrogen itself. This makes bones stronger and prevents fractures in women with osteoporosis. Raloxifene is called a "selective estrogen receptor modulator" since it has effects like estrogen on some tissues but inhibits the effects of estrogen on other tissues.

Fareston
Fareston is indicated for treatment of metastatic breast cancer in postmenopausal women with estrogen-receptor–positive or unknown tumors. Fareston was approved by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration for use in October 1995.
Fareston is a medicine that blocks the receptors for the female hormone oestrogen in the body. This prevents oestrogen-induced stimulation of DNA production and hence cell growth in breast cancer.

Fish oil
The major active ingredients of fish oil are two essential polyunsaturated so-called omega-3 fatty acids: EPA (eicosapentaenic acid) and DHA (docosahexaenic acid), which cannot be produced by the human organism. Alpha-linolenic acid can be converted to EPA and DHA in the body, but the conversion is quite inefficient especially in older people. The administration of these polyunsaturated fatty acids as treatment courses lowers blood lipid and cholesterol levels, improves the rheological properties of the blood and exerts a favorable effect on blood coagulation process.

Fish oils (EPA and DHA) play a crucial role in the prevention of atherosclerosis, heart attack, depression, and cancer.

Recognizing the unique benefits of EPA and DHA and the serious consequences of a deficiency the US National Institutes of Health recently published Recommended Daily Intakes of fatty acids. They recommend a total daily intake of 650 mg of EPA and DHA, 2.22 g/day of alpha-linolenic acid and 4.44 g/day of linoleic acid. Saturated fat intake should not exceed 8 per cent of total calorie intake or about 18 g/day.

Flomax
Tamsulosin is a drug for the treatment of men who are having difficulty urinating because of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). In men, the tube which carries urine from the bladder to the penis (called the urethra) travels through the prostate gland. As men get older, the prostate gland enlarges, and the muscle cells within the prostate gland and the neck of the bladder (which control the flow of urine) tighten. The combination of enlargement and tightening of muscles compresses the urethra and obstructs the flow of urine. This results in difficulty urinating and retention of urine within the bladder. The tightening or contraction of the muscle cells is controlled by nerves. One type of nerve, the alpha adrenergic nerves, cause the muscle cells to tighten by releasing a chemical related to epinephrine (adrenalin). Tamsulosin blocks the effects of this chemical on the muscle cells and causes the muscles to relax. This results in a decrease in obstruction to the flow of urine.

Folic Acid
Folate is an essential vitamin that is also known as folic acid and folacin. The synthetic form of the vitamin (folic acid), pteroylglutamic acid, is seldom found naturally in food. The folates found in nature contain the core chemical structure of pteroylglutamic acid but vary in their state of reduction, the single carbon moiety they bear and/or the length of the glutamate chain attached. At least 50% of whole body folate is stored in the liver.
The metabolic role of folate is as an acceptor and donor of one-carbon units in a variety of reactions involved in amino acid and nucleotide metabolism. The carbon can be carried as a methyl, methylene, formyl, formimino or methenyl group. The coenzyme form of the vitamin is typically fully reduced and poly-glutamylated. In the adult, folate is absorbed primarily in the proximal one-third of the small intestine. It is also conceivable that a portion of the large depot of bacterially synthesized folate in the large intestine may be absorbed. A large portion of folate delivered to the liver is secreted into bile and redistributed to peripheral tissues. Polyglutamylation (addition of glutamic acids) of folate is believed necessary to concentrate and store folates in tissues.

Fosamax
Fosamax (generic name: alendronate) is prescribed for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis, the brittle bone disease, in postmenopausal women. It is also used to increase bone mass in men with osteoporosis, and is prescribed for both men and women who have developed a form of osteoporosis sometimes caused by steroid medications such as prednisone. This drug can also be used to relieve Paget's disease of bone, a painful condition that weakens and deforms the bones.

Precose works by slowing the body's digestion of carbohydrates so that blood sugar levels won't surge upward after a meal. Precose may be taken alone or in combination with certain other diabetes medications such as Diabinese, Micronase, Glucophage, and Insulin.

Imigran
Imigran is a headache medicine. It is believed to work by causing vasoconstriction (narrowing) of arteries and veins that supply blood to the head. Sumatriptan is used to treat vascular headaches such as migraine and cluster headaches. Sumatriptan will not prevent migraines or cluster headaches or reduce the number of attacks. It will only treat a migraine or cluster headache that is already occurring. Sumatriptan may also be used for purposes other than those listed in this medication guide.

Iodide (KJ)
Iodine is an element required in small amounts for healthy grow and development. An adult body contains about 30mg of iodine, concentrated in the thyroid gland. A deficiency of iodine leads to goitre – swelling of the neck due to enlargement of the thyroid gland. Iodine protects the body against radiation, especially ionizing radiation which can be very damaging. Dietary sources of iodine are sea food and iodized table salt. Iodine is also used as an antiseptic.

Isoprinosine
Immunostimulator. Isoprinosine have both immunomodulating and antiviral properties. It helps to treat acute and chronic viral infections. Isoprinosine acts on the immune system to restore impaired cell-mediated response to baseline in addition to enhancing humoral response. It has also a direct antiviral activity. Isoprinosine can reduce the intensity of symptoms and shorten the duration of the viral infection. In addition, the occurrence of complications is reduced and the frequency and severity of recurrences is minimised. Isoprinosine is an immunoenhancing agent in aged humans.

Jumex
Jumex (Selegiline), also known as Deprenyl, Eldepryl works by helping to conserve the amount of dopamine available by preventing the dopamine from being destroyed. While controversial, there is some evidence that this drug may slow the progression of Parkinson's disease, particularly early in the course of the disease.

Lamisil
Lamisil (generic name: terbinafine) is an antifungal agent that is taken by mouth or applied to the skin. Terbinafine acts by interfering with the ability of fungi to make chemicals called sterols that are an important part of the membrane that surrounds fungal cells and holds them together. This weakens the cell membrane. Oral terbinafine is more effective for treating fungal nail infections than griseofulvin (Fulvicin; Gris-Peg) and itraconazole (Sporanox), two other antifungal agents used for treating fungal nail infections. Topical terbinafine was approved by the FDA in 1993. Terbinafine oral tablets were approved in 1996.

Lescol
Lescol (generic name: fluvastatin) is a cholesterol- lowering medicine. It inhibits the production of cholesterol by the liver. It lowers overall blood cholesterol as well as blood LDL cholesterol levels. LDL cholesterol is believed to be the "bad" cholesterol that is primarily responsible for the development of coronary artery disease. Lowering LDL cholesterol levels retards progression and may even reverse coronary artery disease, thus reducing the chance of heart attacks.

Leuzea root
Russian Anabolic Formula is a non-hormonal anabolic supplement whose ingredients have been proven in clinical studies to be as anabolic as actual steroids while exhibiting no undesirable side effects.

Levitra
Levitra helps arteries in the penis relax and widen during sexual stimulation. As a result, men who suffer from impotence find it easier to achieve erections. Levitra works similarly to the popular impotence drug Viagra. But unlike Viagra, Levitra stays in the body for up to 16 hours, which means a man can engage in multiple encounters with his partner without having to take another dose.

Lipitor
Atorvastatin is an oral drug that lowers the level of cholesterol in the blood. It belongs to a class of drugs referred to as statins which includes lovastatin (Mevacor), simvastatin, (Zocor), fluvastatin (Lescol0, and pravastatin (Pravachol). All statins, including atorvastatin, prevent the production of cholesterol by the liver by blocking the enzyme that makes cholesterol, HMGCoA reductase. They lower total blood cholesterol as well as LDL cholesterol levels. (LDL cholesterol is believed to be the "bad" cholesterol that is primarily responsible for the development of coronary artery disease.) Lowering LDL cholesterol levels retards progression and may even reverse coronary artery disease. Unlike the other drugs in this class, atorvastatin also can reduce the concentration of triglycerides in the blood. High blood concentrations of triglycerides also have been associated with coronary artery disease. Atorvastatin was approved by the FDA in December of 1996.

Lipoic Acid
Lipoic acid is both water and fat-soluble antioxidant. It lowers oxidative damage to proteins and protects mitochondria from oxidative stress. Increase glutathione level. It has lipotropic effect, protects against potential damage by heavy metals.

Lotensin
Lotensin (generic name: benazepril) is an ACE (angiotensin converting enzyme) inhibitor. ACE is an enzyme in the body which is important for the formation of angiotensin II. Angiotensin II causes constriction of arteries in the body, thereby elevating blood pressure. ACE inhibitors such as benazepril lower blood pressure by inhibiting the formation of angiotensin II, thus relaxing the arteries. Relaxing the arteries not only lowers blood pressure, but also improves the pumping efficiency of a failing heart and improves cardiac output in patients with heart failure.

Maca Vibe
Maca is a cruciferous plant native of the central Andean of Peru (above 4000 m.a.s.n.). It is known that MACA is used since 2000 years ago as nourisment and medicine. As an aphrodisiac for both men and women (those seeking heightened sexual prowess).

Megace is indicated to treat loss of appetite and weight loss that is a result from Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). Megace is also indicated to treat advanced breast cancer and endometrial cancer. Megace may also be used for other purposes not mentioned here.

Metformin
Metformin is used to treat a type of diabetes mellitus (sugar diabetes) called type 2 diabetes. With this type of diabetes, insulin produced by the pancreas is not able to get sugar into the cells of the body where it can work properly. Using metformin will help to lower blood sugar when it is too high and help restore the way you use food to make energy.
Metformin does not help patients who have insulin-dependent or type 1 diabetes because they cannot produce insulin from their pancreas gland. Their blood glucose is best controlled by insulin injections.

Metoprolol
Metoprolol (Lopressor), a type of medication known as a beta blocker, is used in the treatment of high blood pressure, angina pectoris (chest pain, usually caused by lack of oxygen to the heart due to clogged arteries), and heart attack. When prescribed for high blood pressure, it is effective when used alone or in combination with other high blood pressure medications. Beta blockers decrease the force and rate of heart contractions, thereby reducing the demand for oxygen and lowering blood pressure.

Metoprolol Retard

Mevacor
Mevacor (generic name: lovastatin) is a cholesterol- lowering medicine. It inhibits the production of cholesterol by the liver. It lowers overall blood cholesterol as well as blood LDL cholesterol levels. LDL cholesterol is believed to be the "bad" cholesterol that is primarily responsible for the development of coronary artery disease. Lowering LDL cholesterol levels retards progression and may even reverse coronary artery disease.

Milgamma

Mirapexin
Mirapex eases the symptoms of Parkinson's disease - a progressive disorder marked by muscle rigidity, weakness, shaking, tremor, and eventually difficulty with walking and talking. Parkinson's disease results from a shortage of the chemical messenger dopamine in certain areas of the brain. Mirapex is believed to work by boosting the action of whatever dopamine is available. The drug can be used with other Parkinson's medications such as Eldepryl, Sinemet, and Larodopa.

Mobic
Mobic-movalis (generic name: meloxicam) is in a class of drugs called nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) and are used to treat pain and/or inflammation. Prostaglandins are chemicals that contribute to inflammation within joints, and it is the inflammation that leads to the common symptoms of pain, tenderness and swelling associated with arthritis. Meloxicam blocks the enzymes that make prostaglandins (cyclooxygenase 1 and 2) and reduces the levels of prostaglandins. As a result, inflammation and its accompanying symptoms are reduced. Meloxicam was approved for use in April 2000.

Modafinil
Modafinil is a mind and mood enhancing psychostimulant that has practically no side effects and does not affect sleep. Modafinil belongs to central nervous system stimulants. Its positive effect is based on changing the amounts of certain natural substances in the hypothalamus that controls sleep and wakefulness. In September 2003, an advisory panel to the FDA approved its use for treating shift work sleep disorder and obstructive sleep apnea. Modafinil is proved to be useful in treating narcolepsy, a neurological disorder marked by uncontrollable attacks of daytime sleepiness (especially in those who work night shifts). Modafinil is also used in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, "dopamine-deficiency disorder" Parkinson's disease, depression, attention-deficit disorder, cognitive impairment in schizophrenia, age-related memory decline etc. This is not the full list of disorders which can be fought with the help of Modafinil. Modafinil is used experimentally in the treatment of "atypical" depression which is quite common syndrome.

MUMIO tablets are an extract from natural MUMIO grown on the high of Altay mountains and processed using modern equipment and the latest scientific research. It maintains physical and mental efficiency and thus prolongs life span. It is a weapon against illnesses. One of the most important functions of MUMIO is immuno-stimulating. MUMIO can help in getting rid of poisons and toxic substances inside the body. It can act as a painkiller in reducing the symptoms of toothache, burns and allergic reactions, as well as in cases of bone fracture.

NADH
NADH (Q-1) is one of the most powerful anti-oxidants: it has the highest reduction potential of any compound found in the body's cells. The more NADH you have in your body the better the DNA repair system functions. NADH may retard cell death and tissue degeneration. It can give up to a six-fold production of dopamine, so it is potentially a remedy against Parkinson's disease. NADH has been shown to be effective against Alzheimer's disease and dementia.

Norvasc is also prescribed for high blood pressure. It is a type of medication called a calcium channel blocker. These drugs dilate blood vessels and slow the heart to reduce blood pressure and the pain of angina.
If you have high blood pressure, you must take Norvasc regularly for it to be effective. Since blood pressure declines gradually, it may be several weeks before you get the full benefit of Norvasc; and you must continue taking it even if you are feeling well. Plavix
Clopidogrel is an anti-platelet drug, that is, a drug that inhibits the ability of platelets to clump together as part of a blood clot. It is similar to ticlopidine (Ticlid) in chemical structure and in the way it works. Unlike ticlopidine, clopidogrel does not cause serious reductions of white cells in the blood and, therefore, routine blood testing to determine if the white blood cell count is low is not necessary during treatment. The risk of heart attacks and strokes (which usually are caused by blood clots) is increased in patients with a recent history of stroke or heart attack and patients with peripheral vascular disease. (Peripheral vascular disease is the same as atherosclerotic arterial disease or "hardening" of the arteries in which the arteries become narrowed. It frequently occurs in the legs and often causes claudication or pain in the legs upon walking). Clopidogrel is used to reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes in these patients. Clopidogrel was approved by the FDA in 1997.

This gland completely encloses the upper part of the urethra, the tube through which urine flows out of the bladder. Many men over age 50 suffer from a benign (noncancerous) enlargement of the prostate. The enlarged gland squeezes the urethra, obstructing the normal flow of urine. Resulting problems may include difficulty in starting urination, weak flow of urine, and the need to urinate urgently or frequently. Sometimes surgical removal of the prostate is necessary. By shrinking the enlarged prostate, Proscar may alleviate the various associated urinary problems, making surgery unnecessary.
